Get ready to talk transportation on Thursday, July 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the upcoming Nerd Nite Detroit.

Nerd Nite Detroit, also known as Nerd Nite 313, is Metro Detroit’s broadest platform for intellectual investigation, esoteric exploration, and quirky questions. So grab a fellow nerd* and head to the Tangent Gallery and Hastings Street Ballroom at 715 Milwaukee Avenue, Detroit to hear all about the city’s transportation infrastructure.

The event will feature interactive talks on alternative intersections (like the Michigan left), the potential of light rail to bring people together and generate economic growth, and transit along the Detroit riverfront.

There will also be live demonstrations, including a drone flyover.

Nerd Nite Detroit guest speakers include:

  • Michael Schrader, Ph.D. Candidate in Civil Engineering at Wayne State Univeristy
  • Sommer Woods, Director of External Relations for M1 RAIL
  • Adrianna Jordan, Principal Planner at Freshwater Transit
  • Todd Scott, Coordinator of Detroit Greenways
