This is the second Dickey’s location for owners Ed and Carrie Wenzel. Their first location is in Macomb Township. They also hope to add a third location in Auburn Hills in the future.

“We are excited to offer delicious Texas-style barbecue to these communities,” Carrie says. “We believe in Dickey’s family-owned brand and look forward to expanding our family business with it.”

There will be loads of specials and giveaways during the first month of opening this new location.

The big giveaway is three lucky people will win a year of free barbecue. All guests have to do is use the hashtag #1FreeYearofBBQ on any social media page, order online or sign up for the Big Yellow Cup Club.

“The Dickey family congratulates Ed and Carrie Wenzel on opening their second Dickey’s Barbecue Pit location,” says Roland Dickey Jr., CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “Dickey’s is rapidly expanding nationwide, and we are proud to provide authentic, Texas-style barbecue to our guests in the Detroit area.”
