We always enjoy bringing our readers information about cool events. When you get these restaurants at these prices, it’s worth talking about.

Dine Drink Detroit, an annual culinary event, starts Tuesday, October 4. This is the fourth year for this laid back restaurant festival. This year is even better though, because the organizers have added an additional week.

This means diners get three full weeks of great deals on amazing food through out Detroit.

Dine Drink Detroit has over 35 different restaurants participating this year, so there is something for everyone.

Here is a small sample of the restaurants that will have special menus; Batch Brewing Company, Gold Cash Gold, Johnny Noodle King, Jolly Pumpkin, Parks & Rec Diner, Republic Tavern, Rusted Crow Detroit and Tijuana’s Authentic Mexican Kitchen.

Diners will be able to choose one food item and one drink item for $15 (plus a little extra because tax and gratuity are not included.)

“The Detroit food scene has exploded, creating so many opportunities for talented chefs and even more opportunity for people to enjoy the emerging food culture downtown,” said Scott Rutterbush, creator of Dine Drink Detroit. “We’ve found people really embrace this event and, as a result, we’ve added an extra week and nearly doubled the number of participating restaurants offer even more options.”

Dine Drink Detroit runs from October 4 through October 20. There is no need to make a reservation for any of the participating restaurants.

If you have yet to make plans for Monday, October 3 check out the Dine Drink Detroit Launch Party.

Come with an empty stomach because there will be over 65 different restaurants, bars, food trucks, chefs, and food purveyors.

There will be a VIP lounge with an elevated view of the Detroit riverfront. There will be food by Executive Chef Ariel Millan of El Cuadro, Ottava Via, and Mercury Burger Bar. There will also be plenty of drinks.

This year they have added a vendor market that will be ran by All Things Detroit.

There will be plenty of live music by DJ Godfather, DJ Chrome, DJ Freddy, DJ Vin Amori, Khary Frazier (Detroit is Different), Dante LaSalle and many more.

Tickets for the Dine Drink Detroit Launch Party are $15 for general admission and $50 for VIP access.

The party starts at 5:00 PM and goes until 11:00 PM.
