Avalon International Breads announced today that they will be opening a fourth Detroit location this summer. It will be called Avalon Cafe and Biscuit Bar.

The cafe will be taking over the former Café con Leche space 2990 West Grand Boulevard in New Center. The space will have space to seat 70 including an outdoor patio inside the New Center Park.

“As an emerging commercial and residential area, New Center is the perfect place to introduce our new biscuit bar, while offering the favorites that our regulars have loved for two decades,” said Jackie Victor, CEO and co-founder. “The cafe will be just a few blocks away from the end of the QLINE and will offer area residents, visitors and employees a place to get fresh, delicious foods at a new local gathering place.”

The cafe will offer customers a sweet and savory biscuit bar that will include seasonal toppings to compliment the “Bellevue” buttermilk biscuits.

Since this is an Avalon cafe there will be plenty of baked goods and lunch offerings like salads and sandwiches for customers that work in New Center.

Customers will also be able to find Reilly Craft Creamery ice cream. The cafe will offer Faygo floats and Italian affogato (ice cream with espresso).

The Avalon Cafe and Biscuit Bar will be open Monday through Friday 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.
