The Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix saw increased attendance and solid TV ratings over its three-day run earlier this month on Belle Isle.

The race event drew roughly 105,000 people, up from a 100,000 the year before and setting a record for the second consecutive year for Saturday attendance.

TV ratings were also strong for the Chevrolet Dual in Detroit Verizon IndyCar Series double header.  It generated the highest weekend TV viewership totals for any series race outside the Indy 500. Though Saturday’s IndyCar race broadcast saw a dip in overnight Nielsen ratings.
