A Taste Of Chicago’s Restaurant Scene Is Coming To Hazel Park (with Frozen Negronis)

If you’re into fried chicken and fish, a pop-up this weekend — Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13 — might be for you.

Chicago-based Parson’s Chicken and Fish is headed to Frame in Hazel Park for two days of a two-hour culinary adventure with Parson’s Executive Chef Hunter Moore.

Parson’s has two locations in Chicago and has quickly taken hold there, known for airy-battered fish, tasty fried chicken and what they call their ‘Original Frozen Negroni Slushy’s.’

Here’s the rundown of the menu:

Ceviche Tostada
Fresh Masa • Bay Scallop • Corvina • Roasted Mighty Vine Tomatoes • Cilantro • Jicama• Red Onions • Serrano • Avocado Crema

Suckling Pig Croquette
Confit Slagel Family Farms Pig • Fennel • English Pea • Prawn Head Aioli • Mizuna

Parson’s Hot Chicken
Lollipop Wing • White Bread • Dill Pickle

Parson’s “Hot Link”
Three Sisters Corn Grits • Pea Shoots • Radish • Jus • Pickled Asparagus • Grilled Ramps

Friday Fish Fry
Creamy Coleslaw • Mashed Potatoes & Rich Gravy • Texas Toast • Malt Vinegar Aioli • Lemon

Apple Fritters
Honeycrisp • Buttercream Glaze • Crème Fraîche

There are two sittings each night, one at 5:30 p.m. and another at 8:00 p.m.

Tickets for this event – which isn’t just billed as dinner, but time with the creators behind the menu – are $55 (of course, there’s tax and fees). More information here.

Drinks are available extra and include the aforementioned Negronis. They also have a Parson’s beer specially brewed for them by Revolution Brewing.
