# When A Bike Ride And Storytelling Collide, You Get The New Documentary "Pedaler" (TRAILER)

What happens when a bike ride and storytelling collide? You end up with a great documentary about the people of Detroit. The organization [Pedal to Porch](http://pedaltoporch.strikingly.com/?ref=dailydetroit.com) will be premiering their documentary *Pedaler* this Thursday.

This past summer Pedal to Porch took people on bike rides through Southwest Detroit, and filmed the stories that were told by neighborhood residents. One of the great things about urban living is the power of the porch. Porch conversations increase the ability to actually know your neighbors, instead of “them” “over there” peeking over a privacy fence.

Pedal to Porch is an organization that invites people on bike rides through Detroit neighborhoods. During the ride residents of the neighborhood use their porch as a stage to tell a story.

The goal of Pedal to Porch is to document these stories from the past, present and future.
