# Here are the cheapest (legit) places to park for the Thanksgiving Day festivities

Between America’s Thanksgiving Parade, the Turkey Trot, and the Lions game, parking downtown will be an absolute nightmare this Thanksgiving day. But fear not, because we’ve got a list straight from the city of the cheapest spots to park your rig for the day.

Don’t get greedy, though – the cheaper the spot, the more quickly it will be swooped up by patrons. Save yourself the struggle this Holiday by getting downtown early and snagging one of these prime spots before they’re gone.

Oh, and don’t forget that you can save even more cash by hopping on the people mover free of charge all day!

**If you’re going to the parade or Turkey Trot, try these spots:**

Ford Underground Garage – 5 a.m. – 7 p.m. – $10 – 30 East Jefferson Avenue

Joe Louis Arena –4:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. – $10 – 900 W. Jefferson Avenue

Millennium Garage –24 hours – $10 – 423 W. Congress

**And if you’re heading to the Lions game, try these:**

Grand Circus Park Garage –24 hours – $20 – 1600-01 Woodward Avenue

Premier Underground Garage – 5 a.m. – 10 p.m – $10
