But what if I told you four Detroit theaters will be screening nine classic horror movies this weekend? We thought would do a quick roundup of the theaters and movies they will be screening. ### **Cinema Detroit** ***Rocky Horror Picture Show*** If you have been waiting in antici…pation to see *Rocky Horror Picture Show* this year then you need to buy your tickets asap. There will be a costume contest for each showing, so be sure to bring your A game if you plan on dressing up. Cinema Detroit will be selling prop bags for $6 each bag will have rice, rings, newspapers, lights, rubber gloves, noisemakers, toilet paper (Scott brand of course), toast, party hats, and cards. Cinema Detroit will have six showings of the cult classic on Friday, October 27, Saturday, October 28, and Tuesday, October 31. Cinema Detroit is located at 4126 3rd Street Detroit, Michigan 48201 ### **The Detroit Film Theatre** **The Old Dark House** What happens when five travelers get caught in a storm and take shelter in an old gloomy mansion? There will be three showings of The *Old Dark House;* Friday, October 27 at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, October 28 at 4:00 p.m., and Sunday, October 29 at 2:00 p.m. **Night of the Living Dead** There is something special about seeing some of these older films on the big screen, and *Night of the Living Dead* is no exception. The DFT will be screening the classic zombie film over the weekend. There will be three opportunities to catch the movie; Friday, October 27 at 9:30 p.m, Saturday, October 28 at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, October 29 at 4:30 p.m. **The Crazies** This 1973 film takes place in a small town in Pennsylvania. When there is a biochemical spill in the town it turns some of the people in to killers. This film is rarely-screened, so if you want to see it you need to get your tickets soon. There is only one screening of this film on Saturday, October 28 at 9:30 p.m. The admission to all three films are $9.50 per person. The Redford will be screening Alfred Hitchcock classic *Psycho* this weekend. There will be three showings of Psycho this Friday, October 27 at 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, October 28 at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. ***Halloween*** If you’re a bigger fan of Michael Meyers and *Halloween* then you should get your tickets for the late night showing at The Redford. The 1978 slasher movie will be shown at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 28. Tickets for both films are $5 per person. This John Landis classic from 1981 was the first in the horror/comedy genre. Tickets for this showing is $5 per person. The Senate will be showing the film on Friday, October 27\. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the film will start at 8:00 p.m. **Double Feature: *Frankenstein* and *The Bride of Frankenstein*** What can I say about *Frankenstein* and *The Bride of Frankenstein* that hasn’t already been said? The Senate will be showing the 1930’s classicson Saturday, October 28. Tickets for this double feature are $10 per person.
