# Ferndale’s DIY Fest Returns With That Awesome, Giant Poster Tent

For their third year in a row, the awesome, giant poster tent will be setting up shop within the depths of our favorite excuse to shut down Nine Mile: The Ferndale DIY Fest.

Back this year featuring the work of nine different design groups, the [POSTERGEIST poster tent](https://www.facebook.com/events/717063711757048/) will be stacked with handmade screen-printed gig posters, TV/Movie posters, art prints and more.

Admission is free of charge and though we know the tent is quite huge, you can find a map with their location at the festival [here](http://www.ferndalediy.com/maps/?ref=dailydetroit.com). The gang behind POSTERGEIST is geared up and ready to go with an even bigger selection, so be sure to check it out.

Dates and times are as follows:  
Friday, Sept 25: 6pm—midnight  
Saturday, Sept 26: 11am—midnight  
Sunday, Sept 27: 11am—11pm

**Doe Eyed — Omaha, Nebraska**

Eric Nyffeler’s illustration style mixes gritty geometry with hand-drawn elements to create a sometimes whimsical, sometimes abject style that is helping to redefine the visual aesthetic of the Midwest. **The Silent Giants — Ferndale, Michigan**

[The Silent Giants](http://thesilentgiants.com/?ref=dailydetroit.com), most commonly known for their collection of Jack White posters, has been selling an eclectic range of intricate prints with mysteriously dark undertones that leave a stamp of unique inspiration by a story yet to be told. **Lurk & Destroy — Detroit, Michigan**

As you might grasp by the name, [Lurk and Destroy](http://www.lurkanddestroy.com/?ref=dailydetroit.com) gig posters, art prints, skateboards and more literally give you the sense of mind-melting lurking and destroying through excellent illustrations with some wildly vivid colors. **Bureau of Print Research & Design — Milwaukee, Wisconsin**

Reappearing at this year’s DIY Fest is designer Francisco Ramirez, with his fantasically absurd color designs of bizarre yet grotesque line art.
