If you’re looking for a job, job rating and listing site [Glassdoor](https://www.glassdoor.com/List/Best-Cities-for-Jobs-LST%5FKQ0,20.htm?ref=dailydetroit.com) says that Metro Detroit ranks 10th in the nation.

These areas are ranked across three categories — Hiring opportunity, cost of living and job satisfaction.

They say there are 71,137 openings currently, with hot jobs being special education teachers, bankers, and physician assistants.

Job satisfaction in our area ranks 3.3 out of five stars, with an average base salary of $55,126 

The top cities in the nation are Raleigh, North Carolina; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Indianapolis, Indiana.
