# Michigan’s Largest Women Business Conference Comes To Metro Detroit Sep. 29-30

Michigan is full of women business owners. In fact, the city of Detroit is an anomaly with[ one out of two small businesses are owned by a woman.](http://www.freep.com/article/20140830/OPINION05/308300007/Women-business-Detroit?ref=dailydetroit.com)

This month The Center for Empowerment and Economic Development (CEED) is hosting the largest women’s business conference in Michigan **on September 29 & 30** at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi. The organization works to connect women business owners to the financing, contract opportunities and training they need to grow.

The 14th Annual Great Lakes Women’s Business Conference usually represents more than **1,000 women business owners.** The event will feature keynote speaker Andrew Yang of Venture For America, several workshops, and a Women’s Business Showcase event.
