# Slows BBQ In Corktown Wants To Celebrate Sausage With New Hot Dog Pop-Up Called "Side Piece"

Slows BBQ is getting into the pop-up hotdog stand business.

On Wednesdays this summer, the popular BBQ joint is turning their patio on the side of their Corktown restaurant on Michigan Avenue into [“Side Piece.”](https://www.instagram.com/sidepiecedetroit/?ref=dailydetroit.com)

The hotdog pop-up with a menu curated by Chef Ryan Esker includes sausages topped with ingredients like pickled carrot, cucumber and kimchi mayo; pastrami, kraut and hot brown mustard; and sherry caramelized onion, gruyere and bacon jam.

The menu, according to a release, will rotate weekly with snacks, sides, a list of summery beers as well as boilermakers, rye punch and wine in a can.

Side Piece opens up for the summer on Wednesday, June 20 starting at 5 p.m.
