### This trailer shows the eerie side of Detroit.

When Ryan Gosling, movie star and heartthrob turned director (for this project) was in the D, there was a huge buzz around everything he did. Now, the movie trailer is out for “Lost River” which was originally titled “How To Catch A Monster.” The film will be released on April 10 in the US.

Here’s a [storyline summary from IMDB:](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2366608/?ref=dailydetroit.com)

> “Lost River” is a dark fairy tale about love, family and the fight for survival in the face of danger. In the virtually abandoned city of Lost River, Billy (Christina Hendricks), a single mother of two, is led into a macabre underworld in her quest to save her childhood home and hold her family together. Her teenage son Bones (Iain De Casestecker) discovers a mystery about the origins of Lost River that triggers his curiosity and sets into motion an unexpected journey that will test his limits and the limits of those he loves.

Early reviews put the film at a 25 Rotten Tomatoes score and it only ranks a 35 on Metacritic. Maybe theatre-goers will like it more than reviewers. After watching the trailer, are you excited to see Lost River?
