The Detroit Tigers will have a new TV broadcast team next season. Both Mario Impemba and Rod Allen have not had their contracts renewed following reports of an altercation last month after a game in Chicago against the White Sox.

The Detroit News cites inside sources saying that Impemba made $500,000 a year and Rod Allen about $350,000.

Allen and Impemba have had a contentious relationship off the field and were suspended following the incident in Chicago. Lynn Henning has a walkthrough of what is believed to have happened.

The pair had been the Tigers second-longest lasting broadcast team, with more than 2,000 games under their belts.

There’s no word from either the Tigers or Fox Sports Detroit about who will replace them.
