On Thursday night a van slammed into the front of one of Detroit’s most beloved establishments, Marcus Hamburgers.

Marcus is known for their rectangular hamburgers in hot dog buns.

Marcus Hamburgers, featured by many places including our tasty burger list, was already closed for the evening when the incident occurred. It’s located on Six Mile between Mound and Van Dyke and has been around since 1929.

The driver was taken to the hospital. There is no word on the extent of their injuries, or if alcohol was involved.

It’s unclear when the restaurant will reopen. So far, police have not said anything about how this happened.
