This week is kind of crazy out there in the land of networking. We’ve got all sorts of events, from basketball games to throwing axes.

It really breaks you out of your comfort zone.

Network After Work at Detroit Pistons vs. Philadelphia 76ers

Like the Pistons but find that networking gets in the way to going to a weeknight game?

Well, you’re in luck because now you can do both.

This week the networking organization Network After Work will be hosting a networking event at the Detroit Pistons game.

The event will take place in the East Gondola where there will be a buffet dinner and private cash bar. So you can watch the game while networking.

There will also be an opportunity to go down to the court after the game to shoot free throws.

Tickets start at $80 and go up to $199 depending on the package you choose.

When: Wednesday, April 4 from 5:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.

Networking with an Axe

From networking during a basketball game to networking with an axe? Yup, we’re going there this week.

The city of Ferndale and the BUILD Institute will be holding its third and final event in their Spring Fling into Networking event this week.

It will be held at The Corner Bar + Game Room in Ferndale.

The event is free and there will be light refreshments served.

When: Wednesday, April 4 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.

Intellectual Property Basics

Detroit Fintech Challenge and Pitch Competition

The Detroit Fintech Challenge and Pitch Competition is finally upon us. The two day event will take place at TechTown

If you are in the financial start up world then you should probably already know about this competition.

The winners of the Fintech Challenge and Pitch Competition are eligible for up to $50,000 in equity investment and other prizes.

It is free to attend.

When: Friday, April 6 at 5 p.m. until Saturday, April 7 at 6 p.m.
