Seriously, the new @coreandersbookshoppe space is amazing. Checked it out while picking up a gift for the little Cuz-nephew since he’s been such a trooper lately. The merchandising, the art, the layout. A true gem in Grosse Pointe Park. That district on Kercheval is really coming along with near shops and places to go with stuff to check out on both sides of the border. #Bookshop #retail #shoplocal
This mural by @waleed_the_artist is insane. Bananapants. Stunning. All the words. I take OK pics, but it doesn’t do it justice. You have to go see it for yourself at Mack and Van Dyke. So glad I did. Also neat to see in an area of town I like a lot as the first house I lived in when I was born was on Van Dyke a couple blocks north, and my grandma lived a few blocks away her whole life. The goal is to teach Detroiters not just how to code, but everything you need to be successful in the app and iOS economy. A true 360 degree program that might just help the Motor City also be a key hub of app development in the country. The idea is that this is an on ramp for good paying careers, not just a job.
