During the lunch rush Thursday one of the QLINE streetcars hit and a semitruck trailer collided.

The streetcar was traveling southbound along Woodward when it was struck by the trailer of a semi-truck hauling a forklift. Detroit Police cited the truck driver.

The accident report has not been released yet, so my contact at the QLINE could not give more information about how the accident occurred.

According to the Detroit Police Department, there were no critical injuries to anyone riding the streetcar.

The damage to the streetcar was cosmetic and it was able to finish its service loop before returning to the Penske Tech Center for repairs.

The total system delay for the accident was roughly thirty minutes.
