By most metrics, Michigan and Metro Detroit are stagnant as far as population. Economically, we are slipping behind. Young talent continues to leave. Instead of wallowing in it, how to fix it?
It's going to take some change. A change in priorities of what we fund and support on the state level. A change in how we build and think about communities. And a realization that what got us here won't get us there.
