Ferndale will be gaining a new brewery, taproom and restaurant this weekend. The Grand Opening for Axle Brewing Company’s Livernois Tap will be this Saturday, June 3.

Axle Brewing Company is owned and operated by Four Man Ladder which is the same group that owns Grey Ghost in Midtown.

“We started brewing our beers in late 2015, and it feels damn good to put down roots on Livernois with such enthusiastic support from the City and our neighbors,” says President Dan Riley. “Our goal was to create a timeless destination with amazing beer and incredible food in a space that feels familiar, but very unexpected. I’m blown away by what our team has accomplished and thrilled to open the doors.” says President Dan Riley.

They will include Axle Brewing’s flagship beers like Moterh Handsome Double IPA, Livernois Lager, Long Cut IPA, City Pale Ale, and Porter. The taproom will also offer seasonal pours and tap room exclusive releases. The brewery will be ran by head brewer Adam Berretta.

Diners will find items like Fride Bologna Corn Dogs, Crispy Animal Parts and Buffalo Fried Green Tomatoes on the menu. The restaurant will also offer desserts that feature Axle’s beer and rotating artisan ice cream.

If you plan on biking down to grab a drink, they will have plenty of bike racks. There will also be stroller parking for parents who want to stop in for a causal meal with the kids.

The brewery is invested in the community and will also offer events like beer tastings, yoga and group bike rides.

The taproom will be open Tuesday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., Friday 4:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m., and Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
