I don’t know about you, but having a holiday in the middle of the week really throws me off. So even though it feels like we just had a weekend, the weekend is almost upon us, which means it is time to start making plans.

Have a great weekend everyone, and go find the fun!

FRIDAY — Food Network Watch Party At Stache International

Food Network visited Stache International back in May to film an spot for the show Ginormous Food.

The time has come for that episode to air, which means Stache International will be hosting a watch party with drink and food specials on Friday.

The party will be from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. The episode will air at 8 p.m.

Stache International is located at 1416 East Fisher Freeway in Detroit, in Eastern Market

Saturday — Smokey Robinson

I don’t think I need to give you a reason this concert is on the list. Smokey Robinson is a Detroit native and a Motown legend.

Here’s the details you need to know. The concert is at Chene Park. I checked out the Ticketmaster website and it looks like there are still plenty of tickets to purchase.

Tickets range between $36 for your general admission seats and up to $61 for assigned seats.

The concert starts at 7:30 p.m.

Chene Park is located at 2600 E Atwater in Detroit

Saturday and Sunday — Palmer Woods Home and Garden Tour

Palmer Woods is my favorite neighborhood in Detroit. I think it is a mixture of the great architecture and those old tree lined streets. If I had the funds, that is where I would buy a house. I digress.

This weekend is the annual Palmer Woods Home and Garden Tour. which means it is your chance to check out some of these homes without being a creeper.

While Palmer Woods is mostly known for the grand Tudor homes built in the early 20th century, this year the home tour will focus on five homes built in the mid-20th century.

There will be seven gardens throughout Palmer Woods that are also open for the tour including the The Frank Lloyd Wright garden.

Wear your walking shoes, because it is a walking tour. There will be shuttles as well, but you really get the feel of Palmer Woods if you walk through the neighborhood.

Tickets for the Home and Garden Tour are $25 for adults, $10 for children 12-18, and $20 for those who wish to bike.

The tours will be held on Saturday, July 8 and Sunday, July 9 from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.

Check in for the tour will be at 1791 Wellesley in Detroit

Sunday — Rooftop Yoga: Sunday Morning Slow Jams

Love yoga but feel like a change of scenery? Then I suggest signing up for this rooftop yoga session on Sunday morning.

Detroit Yoga Lab will be holding Rooftop Yoga on the roof of the Detroit Music Hall. Space is limited, so you will need to register before Sunday. The class is $20 per person. Rooftop Yoga will be held from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

The Detroit Music Hall is located at 350 Madison Avenue in Detroit

Sunday — Shed 5 Flea Market

I love a good flea market. Especially when it is a mix of vintage items, handmade things, and weird quirky stuff.

This is the second installment of Shed 5 Flea for this summer. So get out to Eastern Market this Sunday. There will be plenty of vendors selling all sorts of items, that I’m sure there will be something for everyone.

The Shed 5 Flea is free to get in, but bring plenty of money in case you find something you have to bring home with you. Hours: 10:00 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Eastern Market is located at 2934 Russell Street in Detroit.
