It’s pretty rare that we cover events that happen outside of the tri-county region, but I will make an exception for Thomas the Tank Engine.

Day Out With Thomas: The Friendship Tour 2017 will be coming to Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Railroad in Flint for the next two weekends.

To say that my toddler is obsessed with all things having to do with Island of Sodor would be an understatement. Let’s just say we are very familiar with those very useful engines.

If you happened to have missed the Day out with Thomas events at Greenfield Village earlier this summer, you have a second chance to see Thomas in Flint.

This year the theme for Day Out With Thomas is friendship, so there are plenty of friendship activities planned for everyone to participate in.

The main event is the 40 minute train ride with Thomas, but there are other things that will keep kids entertained.

There will be meet and greets and photo opportunities with Sir Topham Hatt and Bob the Builder. There will also be a craft section, train sets, coloring, bubbles, story time, and live music.

Tickets for Day Out With Thomas are $22 per person. Children over the age of 2 will need a ticket.

Dates: August 18-20 & 25-27

TIME: 9 a.m. — 5 p.m.

Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Railroad is located at 6140 Bray Road, Flint, MI, 48505
