You can almost hear it as it’s just a week away – the rev of the engines, the breeze in your face, and race cars hitting the track on Belle Isle.

The nationally-televised event, this year running June 3-5, puts a spotlight on the Motor City like no other.

Officials shared that with 74 corporate partners, the Grand Prix will enjoy an unprecedented level of support at the event including signage on the track, presence in the premiere hospitality chalets, to sponsoring many of the attractions both on and off the track throughout Belle Isle Park. There are 14 new sponsors in 2016, and 11 current sponsors increased their commitment to the event this year.

“The Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix enjoys tremendous corporate support, starting with Chevrolet, Quicken Loans and all of our terrific partners. We simply couldn’t host this great event annually without them,” said Bud Denker, Chairman of the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix. “We are privileged to work with companies that not only realize value in their sponsorship, but they want to support a very positive event for the area and they also see great business to business opportunities at the Grand Prix. Thanks to the support of our partners, the event is also able to help make significant and lasting improvements to Belle Isle each year so visitors can enjoy the park year round.”

After a hiatus, professional auto racing came back to Detroit in 2012 thanks to this event. Quicken Loans serves as the presenting sponsor of the  Dual in Detroit Verizon IndyCar Series races. Meijer hosts the popular Meijer Fan Zone activity area while MotorCity Casino Hotel features its entertainment stage at the Grand Prix that will host national and local acts all weekend long.

In addition, some of the other top partners at the Grand Prix read like who’s who of metro area companies, include American Axle & Manufacturing (AAM), Autotrader, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Bridgestone, Cars.com, Continental Tire, Crain Communications, Cypher Systems,  DTE Energy, FirstMerit Bank, Hitachi, Lear Corporation, Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), PNC Bank, PPG and Strategic Staffing Solutions.
