Long before the days of credit cards and bitcoins, there was bartering – a form of trading which is essentially the exchange of goods or services instead of cash between two people or businesses.

Whether you’re completely unaware that this practice is still around, or you’re looking to grow your current bartering network, then the Metro Trading Association’s (MTA) 37th Annual Trade Show is for you.

The free event takes place Wednesday October 28th from 3:00-9:00pm at the Oakland Yard Athletic Facility in Waterford, located at 5382 Highland Road.

Attendees will learn how barter transactions through Metro Trading Association can help their business cut cash expenses and gain new customers.

The show features shopping and spending opportunities with hundreds of smart businesses that have elevated their bottom lines through savvy barter transactions. The MTA Trade Show also includes silent auctions, raffles, dinner and drinks.

Founded in 1978, Metro Trading Association is the oldest trade organization in the Great Lakes Region. With offices in Troy, Michigan and Toledo, Ohio, MTA is a strong network of more than 2,000 businesses and some 5,000 participants. Additionally, through its affiliations, MTA has barter relationships with tens of thousands of businesses worldwide.
