Specialty McDonald sauces are a thing. Appearing occasionally like a tasty eclipse, they get crazy followings when they become available.

This time, it’s a very, very limited amount of Szechuan sauce. This stuff is, apparently, is valuable. There’s an EBay auction that’s up to $14,800 for a 64 oz big bottle of the stuff.

That’s $231.25 per ounce.

The flavor gained pop culture fame thanks to a mention on the Cartoon Network show “Rick and Morty,” in season 3 opener. The clip is below.

For the first time since 1998, Szechuan Sauce will be available for one day only — this Saturday, October 7. And the only location in Wayne, Oakland or Macomb counties to get it? The McDonalds in Midtown Detroit at 4235 Woodward starting at 2 p.m.

The sauce will come, according to a report, in a standard sized packet and has matching art to the alien-themed limited edition posters that McDonald’s will be giving out on Saturday as well.

You’re going to want to get in line if you want this. The run of this promotion will be “very limited” according to the company.

You’ll have to purchase some Buttermilk Crispy Tenders to get a packet, and it’s limited to one per customer. When they run out, they run out, and they’re not disclosing how many packets will be available.
