Storytelling has become pretty popular in the past few years, and one of the big storytelling podcasts is coming to Ferndale in November.
Kevin Allison will be bringing his show RISK! Live to the Magic Bag on Saturday, November 11.
If you’re not familiar with RISK! it is a storytelling show and podcast that was started by Allison in 2009.
The RISK! podcast is released every Monday, but they also have monthly live shows in New York City and Los Angeles. The show also tours around the world bringing storytelling to the masses.
The show is much like The Moth, but unlike The Moth no topic is off limits. Each show will have you cracking up one minute and crying the next.Each episode has a specific theme and Detroit’s theme is Surprise!
Here is the line up for the Detroit live show; Laura Khalil, Patricia Wheeler, Satori Shakoor, Tommy Nugent.
Tickets for the show are $15 per person. Be sure to buy them in advance.
Doors are at 8:00 p.m. and the show starts at 9:00 p.m.
