A suburban staple of the vegetarian and vegan community, the Inn Season Cafe, now has a liquor license.

The 36 year old restaurant at Fourth & Knowles located on the edge of downtown Royal Oak will begin serving beer and wine immediately with craft cocktails being added by the winter, according to a release.

“We couldn’t be happier to accommodate our most frequent customer request,” said owner Nicholas Raftis. “You can now enjoy a glass of wine or a beer with your meal, and know that, in addition to it being delicious, it was hand selected with a focus on quality ingredients and small-batch production.”

They say that Elie Boudt of Elie Wine Co. will be helping to choose the wines and all of the offerings are vegan and all are organic and/or biodynamic. All will be made with clean, unprocessed ingredients and sustainable farming techniques.

The beers will predominantly local, with some organic and/or gluten free options.

Below are the initial wine and beer menus. On the beer side, they include familiar Michigan brands.
