When was the last time you did something kind for another person? If you can’t remember, here’s your chance to get out and do something kind. World Kindness Day is Friday, Nov. 13, so start planning your kind acts now. If you want to celebrate this unique day, you won’t be alone, and there may be a KIND reward in it for you.

The KIND team in Detroit will partner with students from Webber Elementary School to deliver care packages to the senior citizens at the Boulevard Health Center on Friday. The kids will learn about the importance of kindness and have the opportunity to put their art skills to use. The students will color images of kindness that will be included in the care packages along with Bombas socks. Bombas is also doing its part to spread kindness by donating a pair of socks for every pair purchased.

Throughout the day, the KIND team will be kind spotting as part of the company’s #kindawesome initiative. Team members will keep an eye out for someone performing a kind act and send that person a digital #kindawesome card. The cards can be accessed at www.howkindofyou.com.

The person given the #kindawesome card redeems it for a free KIND snack and a new digital card to pay the kindness forward.

Here’s a rundown of how the program works:
