If you don’t know Detroit, these folks know Detroit. The Detroit Experience Factory (DXF), an offshoot of the former and well-known D:hive, is hosting a Grand Opening at their new Welcome Center.
D:hive was originally created as a three-year venture that focused on welcoming new recruits and innovators to Detroit. The Build Institute brand continues D:hive’s small business initiatives while the Detroit Experience Factory continues the program’s tours, live, and work resources.
“We accomplished so much with D:hive, taking over 30,000 people on tours in 3 years for example, but with the new brand, new welcome center and new offerings the potential to help even more people to understand and experience Detroit is limitless,” says Jeanette Pierce, Executive Director of DXF.
In this new iteration, the DXF Welcome Center exists to assist people find the connections, tools, and information they need to live, engage, and work in Detroit. The organization will continue to offer its free signature Downtown Walking Tours every Saturday at 2pm. The Community Bus Tours on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays and the monthly bar tours will also continue.

To celebrate its new welcome center and programs, DXF invites Detroiters to celebrate with them on March 13th between 8am and 7pm. The Grand Opening will take place at the new welcome center at 123 Monroe St. in downtown Detroit.
