The Detroit Metro Convention And Visitors Bureau over on Fort Street must be smiling about this one. It might not be conventional wisdom, but Metro Detroit made yet another list for travel in 2015.

This time, it’s from ABC Travel Guides, who creates alphabet, activity and souvenir guides for kids. Detroit’s number three on the list, joining Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Orlando, San Diego, Washington D.C. and Times Square in New York. Here’s what they had to say about us.

Our country owes much thanks to Henry Ford, Berry Gordy, Dan Gilbert and the long list of entrepreneurs from the region who epitomize the American Dream.  Must visit attractions include the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village, the Motown Museum and a tour at Morley Candy Factory home of Sanders Candy.  Don’t miss the Giant Uniroyal Tire on I-94.

Although we’re glad they’re on the list (and many of our friends have had a great time with their kids in the city – including this trip our own Ardelia Lee took through Eastern Market – we hope that soon they follow up the great mention with a release of a Detroit-centered book as part of their offerings.

We’re sure our audience could come up with so many suggestions to include that the book would almost write itself.
