We all know how in Oakland County I-75 is pretty much the center of the suburban traffic universe. Most everyone out that way seems to use it for everything at one point, as it runs right through the middle of the county.

But, Oakland County, your Bae (before anyone else) needs a break this weekend. Five miles of the I-75 freeway, from Crooks to M-59, will be closed to demo the bridge at Squirrel Road. So go out with that friend they don’t like that much. Listen to Monica and realize this weekend is “one of them days.” Run around in your house in your underwear. Spread eagle and sleep taking over the whole bed. Enjoy all the fun of being alone. They’ll be back on Monday.

The closure of I-75 begins at 11 p.m. Friday and the freeway is expected to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday. Detours will be posted in each direction using South Boulevard, and Adams and Coolidge roads.
