What’s better than getting to meet a former Red Wings player while grocery shopping? Not much, if you ask me.
On Wednesday, September 2 at the Allen Park Meijer, shoppers will have the chance to meet Darren McCarty. From 6-8 p.m., Meijer is hosting the Red Wings Interactive Experience and Coke Zero Sampling event. An autograph session with McCarty will take place from 7-8 p.m.
The first 150 people in line for the event will receive a priority wristband that will ensure one autograph. Wristbands will be handed out starting at 5 p.m.
If you can’t make it to the event on Wednesday, don’t worry. The Meijer in Roseville is hosting a second Red Wings Interactive Experience on Thursday, September 3. This event features lifelong Red Wings player and coach Alex Delvecchio and also runs from 6-8 p.m with an autograph session from 7-8 p.m.
Attendees at both events will be able to enter for a chance to win one of six awesome HockeyFest prizes. The grand prize winner will receive one Gold Ticket to HockeyFest, four General Admission Tickets to HockeyFest, and one $200 Meijer Gift Card.
Five first prize winners will receive four General Admission Tickets to HockeyFest and one $100 Meijer Gift Card.
