Today, August 6, head to the Royal Oak Farmer’s market for a celebration in honor of one of the world’s most sacred culinary creations.

Pizza.

That’s right, folks, from 6-10 p.m. you and your closest friends can enjoy premium pies from 10 of Metro Detroit’s best spots to grab a slice of heaven, including Hippie’s, Fired Up, Detroit Style Pizza Company,You Wanna Pizza Me, Tania’s Pizza, ROAK, Primo’s Pizza of Royal Oak, Dolly’s Pizza, and Luigi & Pedro.

Swim in the steamy delight of a lush deep dish or the flaky attitude of a thin crust. Whatever your wild, inner pizza wolf craves, you’ll find it at this festival.

Believe it or not, there will other activities BESIDES eating pizza – though that’s good enough for us. For those of you who may not want to eat until you’re drooling on yourself at a picnic table, there will be live music; the Best of Metro Detroit Pizza Competition; and a car showcase featuring new models from local Ford, Chevy, and Subaru dealers.

You can purchase tickets here or upon arrival at the festival. One ticket gets you two slices of za from two pizzerias of your choice. At $12 bucks for adults and $10 for kids, this party is cheaper then a meal out, and sounds way more fun.

And, did we mention you get to eat PIZZA?! Visit the festival website for more details.
