Chartreuse Kitchen and Cocktails will open less than two weeks from now. It will feature quirky and upscale American food in a lush plant-filled setting.
Detroit’s old Chinatown is the next neighborhood to experience significant change. Midtown Detroit Inc., one of Detroit’s main development power players bought Chung’s Restaurant. Their plans for the space have not been announced.
Birmingham Farmers Market is open every Sunday now until October 19 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. In the parking lot of 660 N.Old Woodward Rd. Great street food and flower stalls. Skip if you want produce straight from the farm.
Space is allocated for a new restaurant in the historic brick building facing Harmonie Park on 1452 Randolph St. in Detroit’s Paradise Valley. The restaurant owners and opening date has not been announced.
Chef James Rigato, with partner Ed Mamou, will open his first restaurant in Hazel Park later this summer. The 40 seat restaurant will be called Mabel Gray, named after the ghost who haunts Lake Michigan.
