“After the show it’s the after party, and after the party it’s the hotel lobby, and…” Well, you know the rest.

We here at Daily Detroit love Movement, and as any of our veterans will tell you, the only thing that tops this one of a kind festival is what goes down once final beat of the night echoes out from Hart Plaza into oblivion – the after parties.

There’s simply no better way to keep partying with your new festie besties, or that remarkably handsome Spanish dude/chicka you met at Disclosure than with an all night dance extravaganza in the birthplace of Techno.

From grimy after hours spots to popular Detroit music venues, the D will be swarmed with festival refugees looking to keep things rolling until festival gates open the next day. And they’re in luck, because come Movement, not even the sun can stop a party in Detroit.

That said, here’s our list of 5 parties we think are worth your while. If these don’t pique your interest, visit the Movement website for even more options. If that’s still not enough, you’re a psycho, but we support you, so here’s a nice list put together by the folks at Fest300.

Oh, and if you’re new to Detroit, be sure to chat up the locals about their late night plans, too… You may just end up having the greatest night of your life.
