The weekend is finally here!
Friday: Detroit Zumba All Stars at Eastern Market – What better way to start the weekend then with a little bit of fitness and socializing at Eastern Market. This Friday the Detroit Zumba All Stars are going to be hosting an enriching outdoor Zumba experience at the Eastern Market from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. This will all be held under Shed 3 in the Market area, and will be offering opportunities to shop from vendors, learn different fitness demonstrations, and much more, so definitely show up early to be able to enjoy all of the activities.
Friday: 5th Annual YouthWorks-Detroit Ceilidh – The YouthWorks-Detroit organization is hosting their 5th annual Ceilidh to kick off the summer programs they feature. All the proceeds from this event will be towards their summer StreetTeam Leadership program that aims to helping young children in the city. The event will run from 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. and will feature a variety of great music, dance, and food to go around for the entire event. For more info be sure to check out the link above!
Saturday: 14th Annual Berkley Art Bash – One of the largest Art fairs, it features nearly 150 Artists, live music, a variety of food trucks, and activities for all family members is happening all at the Berkley Art Bash. This Art Bash will be holding down five blocks of the Downtown Berkley area off of 12 Mile Road from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. providing ample amount of time to do check out stores, walk around, shop, and eat. The 14th edition of the Art Bash is this weekend, and is definitely going to be one of their best with increasing attendees and vendors from previous years. Saturday: Seraphine Collective presents: Pretty Ghouls Record Release Show! – This Saturday the Trumbullplex is hosting a great event, featuring the Pretty Ghouls as the debut their new album. There definitely will be a lot of energy flowing thru the venue as they are accompanied by none other then Chicago’s mistresses of punk, Mystery Action, and our own up and coming JUNGLEFOWL, from Ypsilanti! These bands will definitely bring a huge buzz to the city and will be a great night of entertainment!
Sunday: Stop Drop & Detroit: Sundaylicious Edition – For everyone waking up in a Sunday Funday mood, and since the weather is aiming to be in the 80s and definitely sunny, the fine folks of MotorCity Wine will be hosting a little shindig for any go-getters still looking for some fun. Located in Corktown, MCW provides the classy fine-wine and dine atmosphere with a very kick back and socialize vibe. The themed event, Sundaylicious, will be featuring some good food options from the ever growing food truckers of Detroit, along with music from the Jazz Vinyl club during the day. At night, the world renowned DJ Norm Talley will be in the house providing the vibes at MCW. If you do show up at 4 p.m. be sure to spot a crew member sporting the Stop Drop & Detroit gear to claim your free first drink.
