Help save this Metro Detroit treasure and have fun at the same time.

Hamtramck Disneyland is one of the most unique, artistic places in Metro Detroit, and quite possibly the world. Now, it’s in danger, but you have a chance to help save this amazing art installation.

Hatch Art has organized two events this week as a last push to their fundraising goal of $50,000. Currently, the project has raised $31,053, meaning that Hatch Art needs less than $20,000 to meet its goal.

The first event is Thursday, August 18 at Small’s, 10339 Conant St. in Hamtramck. Join Hatch Art at Small’s bar at 8 p.m. for an awesome time. The night’s show starts at 9 p.m. and includes local talents like James Linck, Go Tiger Go, and Rayning. There’s a suggested $10 donation, so bring some extra cash to help Hamtramck Disneyland. To let Hatch Art know you’re going, check out the event on Facebook.

The second event Hatch Art is hosting is on Saturday, August 20 from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. It’s a countdown to midnight when the Patronicity fundraising effort officially ends. The event will be held at Trixie’s Bar at 2656 Carpenter St., Hamtramck. The party will include special guest DJs curated by Nothing Elegant, outdoor games, food, and drinks. Be sure to bring extra cash to donate toward the effort to save Hamtramck Disneyland. Let Hatch Art know you’ll be going by checking out the Facebook event.

If Hatch Art is successful in raising $50,000, it gets to keep all of the money and will receive a $50,000 contribution from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and the Michigan State Housing Development Authority. Visit the Save Hamtramck Disneyland Patronicity page to donate now. There are lots of cool perks.
