One of Detroit’s best features is our architecture.

This video is more than a year old, but it’s starting to make the rounds and we’d thought we’d share because in so many cases the religious architecture (churches) in Detroit are amazing.

HelloAerial, a drone company out of Detroit, did these back in February of 2013. And although this video is very cool, nothing beats visiting Detroit’s churches in person. They shot the Sweetest Heart of Mary Catholic Church, built in 1893 and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, built in 1870-73. Both are near the Eastern Market area.

We’d add another great visit for the visuals is the Most Holy Redeemer Church in Southwest Detroit. Afterward visit Holy Redeemer, you might want to try one of the best coneys in town at Duly’s which is basically diagonally across the street.
