It looks like Cramblin Duvet Advertising just got their contract renewed.
Detroiters, the Comedy Central show that follows the lives of two fictional and wacky young advertising “executives” and their hi-jinx through life and the city of Detroit, has been picked up for a second season.
The show has been met with some critical acclaim and showcases Detroit’s culture and locales in their best light as a backdrop to absurd and almost cartoonish comedic scenes.
Sam Richardson (Sam Duvet) and Tim Robinson (Tim Cramblin) both have ties to Detroit, and the show’s sharp writing captures the city’s quirks in a way that even a national audience can relate.
“Sam and Tim’s sweet, goofy friendship is so infectious, we’ve noticed people being nicer to each other,” said Kent Alterman, president, Comedy Central in a statement. “Perhaps we’ll set season two in D.C.”
The most recent episode, “3rd Floor,” has approximately 426,000 viewers according to ShowBuzzDaily, placing it in the top 50 Tuesday night original cable telecasts.
Detroiters airs Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT and is also available via cc.com on the day each new episode premieres to fans who authenticate via their cable or satellite provider, as well as via the Comedy Central App. In addition, they are available the day after air on iTunes, Amazon Video, VUDU, Microsoft Movies & TV, Verizon Multi-Screen, Google Play, Frontier Communications, and Sony Interactive Entertainment.
