Show notes
You almost never know where they’re going to show up, but when they do, it’s a ton of fun.
During the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Corktown the Detroit Party Marching Band showed up for some guerilla brass hijinx. This snippet is from outside of Sugar House (on the same block as Slow’s and LJ’s).
The band was formed in late 2009 by Rachel Harkai and John and Molly Notarianni, who felt inspired by the second-line bands they saw in New Orleans during Mardi Gras. They’ve been delighting the streets of Detroit ever since.
