Three Detroit Area Companies Make "Healthiest Companies in America" List

Show notes

Interactive Health has announced its list of the 2014 Healthiest Companies in America, and three Metro Detroit companies made the list.

Atwell, LLC in Southfield, McGraw Wentworth in Troy, and SmithGroup JJR in Detroit were included in the Interactive Health’s list.

There were 158 companies who made the list in 2014, more than double the number of companies in the previous year. To make the list, the winners had to embrace the mission of life-changing access to preventative health care in the workplace.

“These winners are a perfect example of how health outcomes can be improved throughout America,” said Cathy Kenworthy, president and CEO of Interactive Health. “Working with our company, preventive care programs are about much more than just losing weight or quitting smoking – they are a catalyst to transform the way people look at health, well-being and their lives overall. Healthiest Companies in America winners exemplify the long-term positive effects comprehensive wellness programs can have on the health status of large populations. Our work is done exclusively through our people… it’s personal to us.”

The programs combine a thorough health evaluation with fast results, supported by a wide range of technology, tools, and prompt outreach by health coaches.

The programs are flexible and promote employee engagement and early intervention. The companies that work with Interactive Health are dedicated to creating a health-conscious workplace culture.
