A new vegan restaurant located in the Royal Oak/Birmingham area is opening on Monday, April 9.
GreenSpace & Go is a fast-casual take on Ferndale’s GreenSpace Cafe. That means the menu is all plant-based, but this version of the concept is all about quick serve options.
A press release says the eatery will have “fresh, healthy, portable cuisine” that “showcases veggies, fruits, grains and beans in creative bowls, wraps, salads, soups, smoothies, baked goods and more.”
“It’s healthy in a hurry,” says cardiologist Joel Kahn M.D., co-owner of GreenSpace & Go and GreenSpace Café. “Inspired by NYC street food and bowls, this venture into fast casual furthers our mission of bringing nutritious, delicious and planet-friendly food to wider audiences.”
Inside there’s a community table and 12 window seats. Being in the ‘burbs, there’s parking both in the front and back.
The restaurant says that their ingredients “are sourced as wholly, sustainably and organically as possible and contain no GMOs or preservatives. They also have allergy-friendly gluten-, soy- and nut-free options. And if you’re not into oil, you they have that choice, as well.
To reinforce this, both GreenSpace Café and GreenSpace & Go have earned certificates from the national PlantPure Communities Restaurant Campaign. They’re, according to the company, the first in the Midwest.
GreenSpace & Go is located at 32867 Woodward Avenue in Royal Oak. It’s open for lunch and dinner Monday-Thursday 11 a.m.-8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 11 a.m.-9 p.m.; closed Sundays.
