Just a heads up – this weekend is going to be boozy. I didn’t intend for that to happen while I was compiling my list of events. We’ve got something for beer lovers, wine drinkers, and those who like the harder stuff.

We also have a few family friendly events on the list as well, because life is all about balance.

Have a great weekend, and enjoy the beautiful fall colors.

Harvest Festivals – Detroit

You’ve got a choice of two harvest festivals happening in Detroit on Saturday, October 22. Both events will be great to bring the kiddos to. The best part about both of them is that they are free.

The first is at Palmer Park and will be from 1:00 PM and will run until 4:00 PM. There will be apple tastings, hay rides, petting zoo, and much more. Check out our post about the Harvest Festival for more information. The Harvest Festival will be located by the Splash Park.

Palmer Park is located at 910 Merrill Plaisance Street in Detroit.

If you are already planning on heading to Eastern Market on Saturday hop over to the Dequindre Cut to the HarvestFest. Celebrate all things fall with the Detroit Riverfront Conservatory from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM.

There will be hayrides, a pumpkin patch, face painters, live music, bird watching, and you will get to meet the Detroit Tigers mascot Paws. There will also be trick or treating so get those kids dressed up! You’ve spent good money on those costumes, so get your money’s worth out of them.

Harvestfest will be located along the Dequindre Cut Dequindre Cut between Wilkins and Gratiot Ave.
