A large building that was recently renovated on West Fort Street near Rosa Parks in Detroit is getting a new technology hub.

Coyote Logistics is a company owned by UPS. They’re expanding their operations into Corktown, becoming the anchor tenant in “The Assembly,” a Bedrock-owned former warehouse. Coyote will have 500 people employed at the location, with 350 of those jobs being new.

“The Assembly” spans 160,000 square feet and is about half office space and the rest is split between retail and 32 apartments.

It’s in a location that’s seeing more investment, including the nearby Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Centennial Park at the West Riverfront behind the big post office facility.

The Coyote Logistics Tech Hub is expected to be open in the third quarter of 2019.
