Treat Dad to some family-friendly outdoor fun, entertain the kids, and celebrate strawberry season by visiting Belleville, Michigan during June 19 -21 for the National Strawberry Festival.
Festival Events
On Friday, June 19, Extreme Aqua Sports will start the festival with a bang. From 2 to 5 p.m., flyboarding, a new extreme sport, will take place at Horizon Park. Join Extreme Aqua Sports and watch as the flyboarders catch some incredible air.
The festival boasts carnival rides, which can be found at the two festival midways – one at St. Anthony Catholic Church and one on Main Street. There will also be a beer tent, concerts, and bingo during the festival.
Arts and crafts lovers won’t be disappointed. Located throughout Belleville, festival goers will find artisans and unique crafts from across Michigan.
If little tummies start to rumble during the festival, there will be strawberry treats and other food vendors throughout the festival’s sites. Just be sure to grab a snack before the parade on Saturday, June 20, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. 150 floats are expected to appear in the parade, along with marching bands, clowns, and acrobats.
On Father’s Day, the Annual Cinnamon’s Father’s Day Car Show will be held at Shady Victory Park at Five Points. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., visitors can walk among classic roadsters and sports cars for free.
Parking
There will be both free and paid parking throughout Belleville. Parking signs will be available to help visitors find lots. The parking lots at St. Anthony’s Church and Belleville Presbyterian Church will have a free shuttle bus service to the festival site. The shuttle will run every 15 min. All busses are air conditioned and handicap accessible.
