It’s officially fall. The leaves are changing, pumpkins are on sale, and apples are (generally) cheaper than ever. Celebrate the season by heading out to Belleville for Harvest Fest 2015. The event is free and promises to provide hours of entertainment for families.

Harvest Fest will take place on Saturday, Oct. 10 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities for kids include butter churning, candle dipping, scavenger hunts, and pony rides. There will also be a petting zoo for families to explore.

This is a great time to check out the Belleville Area Museum at 405 Main Street, Belleville, MI 48111. Several of the activities will be held at the museum and the Belleville Area District Library (167 Fourth Street, Belleville, MI 48111).

A&W will be onsite offering food for sale, so you can quiet rumbling tummies with a fast food lunch. If you want to indulge in homemade goods, several non-profits and churches will be in the area between the museum and the library selling baked goods.

Throughout the day, live entertainment will be provided by the group Joyous Noise at both the library and the museum.

Don’t miss Harvest Fest 2015. It’s a great way to enjoy free family fun and celebrate the harvest season.
