We know that it’s 20 or so degrees out there, but we promise, warmer temperatures are ahead. After all, in our inbox was the information for the 9th Annual River Days Festival!

The event, which runs from June 19-21, is an iconic summertime event that showcases the beauty of the Detroit riverfront. River Days Festival spans almost a mile of the Detroit River, from the GM Renaissance Center to Rivard Plaza and the William G. Milliken State Park.

Last year, the Conservancy’s family-friendly event attracted more than 150,000 people. Entertainment abounds during the festival’s run. Visitors can expect live music, delicious food, and lots of maritime activities.

“River Days is the unofficial kick-off to summer for Detroit,” said Mark Wallace, president & CEO of the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy. “We’re looking forward to welcoming people back for our ninth annual event. This year’s River Days will feature the return of many of our most popular activities and attractions, as well as some new surprises that we are sure visitors will love.”

More information surrounding the 2015 lineup of events featuring Detroit’s river, culture, and history will be announced as the event approaches.
