It’s here. Starbucks Reserve is a thing in downtown Detroit (and yes, I asked point-blank if it was, in fact, a Reserve location).

The store is just a few blocks from the regular Campus Martius location, but as people who live in big cities know, a coffeeshop on almost every corner isn’t unheard of — especially as many of the people using said shop will be staying in the hotel or at nearby businesses.

The Reserve has the draft Nitro Coffee. It really does make the coffee feel like you’re drinking beer, and this is completely unscientific, but it felt stronger from a caffeine perspective.

Decor-wise, it’s more of a walnut and grey color than the regular stores, which feel more like an oak or a beech.

This new 1,700 square foot store will be open Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
