Taystee’s Burgers is tucked away on Ford Road in Dearborn, near the Ford-Wyoming Drive In Theater.
Their “Notch-Yo-Burger” made at their establishment in a BP gas station has been quickly gaining attention as one of the best in Detroit.
Eater, as part of their “Cooking in America” series, took a look at the place in the video above, and it’s an interesting story beyond the Doritos-laden culinary creation.
A few key things:
- It’s family owned
- It’s Halal meat (so even the bacon on the burger is beef bacon)
- The topping list is onion, jalapeno, American, Swiss, Pepper Jack and Nacho cheeses, beef bacon, Doritos, mayonnaise and hot sauce on an onion bun.
